NORTHDAYS ART for MEDICINE
Welcome to my experimental arts site.
It is dedicated to my family Doctor, Dr. Robert Courchenes.
I started this site to help Medicine come to grips with advanced or historic modes of communication, since the power of the arts has been relied upon before twentieth century high tech capabilities for clues to mysteries, gateways to the unexplored, or the news. We artists have a language which we can share with science.
What I hope to discuss, in this site, is that an artists' educated language, the understanding of the use of shape, form and line, can be not only helpful to scientific endeavours, but sometimes used, in part, as engineering functions.
Further, the concept of art therapy is not new, but the interpretation of phenomena as they are witnessed and transcribed by the artist or artisan is certainly subject, (sometimes) to whim, indiscretion and slanted social concepts. So, I am hoping to add what has been my own learning process in the arts field to the work of others interested in art and mind.
